This year once again the European Union puts sustainable energy and all related topics at the centre of attention through its annual EU Sustainable Enegy Week – EUSEW.
Taking place between the 17 and 21 June in Brussels and gathering experts from all over the continent, the event aims to raise awareness about the need to put in place a sustainable system of energy production and consumption.
Addressing all sectors, the conference both stresses the absolute necessity to move towards clean and efficient power (such as zero-emissions transport), and highlights all possible ways to ensure the transition to a zero-emissions economy, based on renewables.
In this context, AVERE is delighted to see electromobility as a key topic for this year. In the full recognition that the transport sector must quickly become zero-emission, EUSEW will host two key sessions on the topic of electromobility:
Co-organised by AVERE, & taking place on June 20 at 11.00 with AVERE’s Secretary General Philippe Vangeel giving the keynote, the session will discuss how to support both the EV industry in responding to the coming mass demand for electric vehicles and how to adapt our cities to this very large uptake.
This round-table scheduled for June 19 at 16.00 will delve deeper into what EU projects and initiatives have done to raise awareness among citizens and policymakers of how e-mobility can make our transport system sustainable both locally and at a broader European level.
Join us for these two session to learn more about how sustainable electromobiity is happening now across Europe and to get introduced to the key debates that will we will also cover in our upcoming event Electric Vehicles Are Here: What Now? on September 25 2019.
